Hello Health and Wellbeing
How long have you cared for others?
How long have you put yourself last? Or at least after the rest of the family, work, and friends?
How long have you forsaken your health?
Sure, you may have tried “every diet known to man.”
Or been dieting “as long as you can remember.”
Where has that gotten you?
Has it taken away from your happiness – enjoying times with family and friends? Declining invitations to eat out? Or, still going out but not eating or scouring the menu for just that one thing you may be able to eat?
Does any of this sound familiar?
Low-carb (Atkins, Paleo, Keto), counting points, pre-packaged meals, soups and grapefruit, and drinks with cayenne pepper and maple syrup, fasting, starving, restrictions, lists of off-limit and “no” foods?
Did you hear it on Oprah or Dr. Oz?
Where did all of that get you?
Don’t beat yourself up about it – because that is where we go sometimes.
All that time, money, and effort, and for what?
Please take it as lessons learned. Take it for what that is.
Now – look ahead. What do you want to do with the next half of your life?
Live it! Healthfully. With joy and calm, put yourself and your health as a priority.
When we address our health – the risk factors for chronic health issues, our family history, and our overall lifestyle – we may find a few things we can do that will help with many things.
Moving regularly with intention may result in better sleep, less joint pain, fewer digestive issues, and help manage stress.
Daily fruits and vegetables may result in feeling fuller, fewer digestive issues, and help with those results from our next doctor’s appointment (like blood pressure, glucose, cholesterol, and more).
Say, “Hello, Health.”
Say, “Hello, Wellbeing.”
“Hello to a healthier me – mentally, physically, and emotionally.”
